The Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta collaborates with three universities from Thailand namely Lopburi College of Dramatic Arts, Suphanburi College of Dramatic Arts and Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts. This collaboration was marked by the signing of the MoA and IA between the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta and the three universities from Thailand on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Arena Theater FSP ISI Yogyakarta. With the signing of various cooperation documents, it marked the beginning of the collaboration between the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta with Lopburi College of Dramatic Arts, Suphanburi College of Dramatic Arts and Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts.
Before the signing of the cooperation document, in the morning a Thai and Indonesian traditional dance workshop was held. The workshop was attended by lecturers from the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta, Dramatic Arts, Suphanburi College of Dramatic Arts and Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts. This workshop was organized as an effort to provide an experience of learning traditional dance from other countries.
In the afternoon, along with the signing of the cooperation document, a Thai & Indonesian Dance Performance was held. In this performance, Thai dances that will be performed include Ram Wor Ra Chet, Fon Kon Dok, Fon Ram Plean and Ram Chat Chatri. While Indonesian traditional dances that will be performed include Sekar Pudyastuti traditional dance from Yogyakarta, Serampang 12 from Riau and Bongkel from Banyumas.
The Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta continues to strive to increase world-class partners. This effort is made to increase the value of the main performance index of universities related to world-class study program partners, maintain and improve the QS World by Subject ranking for the performing arts field.
