Currently, the performance of universities is assessed by the achievement of Key Performance Indicators or popularly known as KPIs. One of the KPIs assessed is KPI 6 related to the collaboration of study programs with world-class partners. To facilitate study programs to collaborate with world-class partners, ISI Yogyakarta signed an MoU with LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore on July 26, 2024, in Meeting Room I, ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building. At the signing of this MoU, ISI Yogyakarta was represented by Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. as Rector and Prof. Steve Dixon as President of LASALLE College of the Arts. The signing of the MoU was attended by ISI Yogyakarta Leaders, Deans at ISI Yogyakarta, Head of the International Affairs Unit and delegates from LASALLE College of the Arts.
LASALLE College of the Arts is one of Singapore's higher education institutions for the arts, offering programs in fine arts, design, media, performing arts and arts management. LASALLE provides a comprehensive arts education with a focus on creative practice and innovation. The college has modern facilities designed to support arts learning, including art studios, exhibition spaces, theaters, and media labs.
After the signing of the MoU, the event continued with a discussion about the potential for cooperation between the two institutions. According to Prof. Steve Dixon as President of LASALLE College of the Arts said that "LASALLE has collaborated with ISI Yogyakarta several times, but there is no official document underlying the collaboration and on this basis today we come to ISI Yogyakarta". In this discussion session, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta conveyed several potential collaborations such as student and staff exchange, joint exhibitions, joint research, joint publications and joint journal management.
At the end of the event, the LASALLE College of the Arts delegation toured the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta to see the facilities and works of the ISI Yogyakarta academic community. The LASALLE College of the Arts delegation was very enthusiastic to see the works produced by ISI Yogyakarta academicians.
