DKV Study Program Holds Workshop on Preparation of MBKM Activity Packages and Evaluation Tools

Today, July 17, 2024. Located at Grand Rohan Jogja. Under the umbrella of PKKM (Independent Campus Competition Program) Visual Communication Design Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia held a workshop on the preparation of MBKM activity packages and their evaluation tools. This is the second workshop, from a series of 3 planned workshops. In this workshop, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, S.T., M.T, as the speaker, as well as the Director of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) delivered material related to the Strategy for Acceleration and Sustainability of Independent MKBKM.

During the three years of implementing the MBKM program in the DKV Study Program, there is a gap that is quite obvious, namely related to learning outcomes. So far, the MBKM program has been followed by students across semesters, from semester 3 to semester 7 and often occurs in the same partner. This makes it difficult for supervisors and partners to carry out the learning process because the competence of students in each semester is different. These different student competency achievements are often an obstacle in the implementation of projects in the field with partners in the process of guidance and supervision. Then this also has an impact on the assessment / recognition of courses per semester.

In her presentation, Prof. Dr. Sri Suning Kusumawradani, S.T., M.T. conveyed related to MBKM governance, starting from the university level, faculty, to the study program level. Through the workshop on the preparation of the MBKM activity package and its evaluation tools, the DKV study program targets increased quality standards, as well as innovations in organizing activity programs.

The Workshop on Preparation of Student MBKM Activity Packages tailored to the competencies per semester and their evaluation tools aims to improve the quality of out-of-class programs, and provide an understanding to lecturers regarding the package and standard evaluation tools. With this workshop and its outcomes, it is hoped that the MBKM programs run by the DKV study program can continue to develop and improve optimally. With the package and evaluation tools, the outcomes of MBKM activities can be structured with good and innovative quality standards and can be the basis for preparing a portfolio of MBKM activities.

After the presentation, the PKKM DKV team continued with a focused discussion. The forum was divided into two large groups, each group containing 15 participants.

The discussion carried out in group one was partnership development, while group two discussed the mbkm activity package and its evaluation tools.

Furthermore, the output of this workshop activity is a module containing the MBKM Internship Program of DKV Study Program which contains MBKM activity packages and implementation evaluation rubrics along with recognition guidelines.
