Collaboration between FSMR ISI Yogyakarta and Project Eleven Holds Joint-Dinner Australia Indonesia Art Forum

The Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR) ISI Yogyakarta and Project Eleven collaborated to organize the Australia Indonesia Art Forum joint-dinner, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the FSMR ISI Yogyakarta Park. The joint-dinner was held to bring together collectors, curators, artists and academics who are members of the Australia Indonesia Art Forum (AIAF) with the ISI Yogyakarta academic community with an initial exploration through the Faculty of Recording Media Arts to see the potential of recorded media art works, especially fine-arts.

The expected impact is the growth of connectivity between lecturers and students of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta and AIAF in the framework of distribution and exhibition of artworks as well as the occurrence of mutually beneficial relationships between FSMR ISI Yogyakarta and art academics in Australia in the academic area. In addition, the scope of mutually beneficial cooperation is also expected not only in FSMR but to grow to the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Performing Arts.

The dinner allowed attendees to have formal and informal conversations with the 39 delegates from Australia and several from Thailand. Along with the dinner, participants also witnessed the Sewon Photography Week #15 exhibition. The event was also attended by leading visual artists in Yogyakarta with an opening speech by Mr. Oei Hong Djien, founder of OHD Museum.
