Gelar Seni Pertunjukan Rakyat or Gesper will be held at ISI Yogyakarta, precisely in front of the Old Rectorate or Performing Arts Education Department Building, from 27 to 29 June 2024. Gelar Seni Pertunjukan Rakyat is organized by the Cross Age Art Association, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta and the Department Student Association in the Faculty of Performing Arts. Gelar Seni Pertunjukan Rakyat consists of cross-age market activities, art workshops, art craft demonstrations and performances.
Performances that will be displayed at the People's Performing Arts Degree include karawitan, drum band, dance, puppetry and sound art. The groups or artists that will perform include Anterdans, Dingklik Sinden, Praginagong, Sri Redjeki, Raminten Kabaret and Kukuh Kudamai Prasetya. The performances are open to the general public and are free of charge.
Gelar Seni Pertunjukan Rakyat is organized by ISI Yogyakarta alumni who are members of the Cross Age Art Association. This event tries to lift the spirit of Bhineka Tunggal ISI "Maju Tak Mundur", even though they come from different majors and backgrounds they can still collaborate to present a Folk Performing Arts Title that can be enjoyed by the public and enliven the 8th Lustrum of ISI Yogyakarta.
