The IIDA Student Design Competition is a competition that honors design concepts from students around the world who are enrolled in an interior design or architecture program. The designs are judged on excellence in aesthetics, design, creativity, and function as well as the suitability of the design solution to the project challenge and the successful integration of design elements. Organized since 2013, the competition has become an important part of the curriculum of interior design courses at colleges or universities around the world, as they incorporate the project into their courses, or encourage their students to apply as an independent study.
With this success, the Interior Design Study Program students are featured and profiled on IIDA.org, recognized in the spring issues of QUAD and Design Matters newsletters, and in official press releases distributed to leading industry outlets and media partners. Students will also receive a prize of $750 and have their work reviewed by world-renowned interior designers and architects such as Lilliana Alvarado, IIDA, Alexander Bonner, IIDA, and Corey Cappello.
