The Art Management Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts (FSR) ISI Yogyakarta and Nuart Sculpture Park Bandung collaborated to organize a Workshop on Making Learning Models: Annotated Catalog of Sculpture Works by Nyoman Nuarta on May 4 to 31, 2024. This workshop was held in two cities, Yogyakarta and Bandung. The workshop on making learning models is carried out as part of the implementation of the Merdeka Campus Learning Program from the Art Management Study Program, FSR ISI Yogyakarta.
The workshop was organized as an effort to maintain the reputation of artists and avoid art forgery. Armed with the archives that artists have collected, the nation can avoid collective negligence. In addition to the needs of artists, this program also creates an academic cultural asset that can be used by the community: archiving Indonesian cultural works. A work that is urgently needed today.
Through the great name of sculptor Nyoman Nuarta, (maker of Bali's Garuda Wisnu Kencana monument & builder of IKN's "Garuda Palace") the agenda of making an annotated catalog of this work was carried out. It involved 4 lecturers, 1 alumni and 5 students. Interviews, data collection, digitization, archival curation, and catalog packaging were part of it. This program was carried out as part of the collaboration of the art industry world with the "Art Archives & Documentation" course of the S-1 Art Management Study Program and was attended by special participants who had been invited.
