ISI Yogyakarta Student Orchestra successfully organized a Symphony Concert: Ultima Carta on December 7, 2023, at Taman Budaya Yogyakarta, at 19.00 WIB until completion. In this concert the Student Orchestra played Paganini Violin Concerto No.1 Op. 6, Risang Cello Concerto in C Minor Op. 7, and Mendelssohn Symphony No. 4 in A Major Op. 9. On this occasion the Student Orchestra of ISI Yogyakarta was guided by guest conductor Budi Utomo Prabowo.
Budi Utomo Prabowo is one of the best classical music teachers in the country. He pursued his undergraduate education at ISI Yogyakarta. He studied conducting in Detmond (Karl-Heinz Bloemeke) and Freiburg (Hans-Michael Beurle and Scott Sandmeier) in Germany and completed his Master of Performing Arts degree in 2006. Budi Utomo Prabowo's performance with Orkes Mahasiswa ISI Yogyakarta was like a concert with his younger generation at ISI Yogyakarta.
This concert is not just a year-end performance of the Student Orchestra for the 2022-2023 period. This final performance is also the first step towards the regeneration of the next Student Orchestra board. This concert is a means of sharing knowledge and experience on how to organize classical music concerts from the old board to the new board of Orkes Mahasiswa ISI Yogyakarta.
