Kemendikbudristek Inaugurates ISI Yogyakarta Rector for 2023-2027 Periods
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) inaugurated the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta for the period 2023-2027, Prof. Dr. Drs. Timbul Raharjo, M.Hum., on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Kemendikbudristek Office, Jakarta. The inauguration of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta was carried out at the inauguration ceremony of officials within the Ministry of Education and Research.
The inauguration of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta and officials within the Ministry of Research and Technology was carried out by the Secretary General (Sesjen) of the Ministry of Research and Technology, Ir. Suharti, M.A., Ph.D.. In her remarks, the Secretary General said that the Ministry of Research and Technology has a big task to provide superior Human Resources (HR) to support national development so that Indonesia can avoid the risk of being overlooked. middle income trap and grow into a developed country.
"The main requirement is superior human resources, qualified human resources, with advanced technology. For this reason, we expect the role of the rectors inaugurated today to be able to contribute to the achievement of these ideals through the implementation of the tridharma of higher education in a quality manner," said Suharti.
Furthermore, Suharti said that under the leadership of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Nadiem Anwar Makarim, the ministry has carried out transformations including for higher education with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka policy.
"We give students the opportunity to develop not only through academic learning on campus. In addition, the competence of higher education human resources must be improved through degree education, non-degree education, and also independent learning," added the Secretary General.
Suharti, M.A., Ph.D. hoped that the inaugurated rectors would be given the strength to carry out the mandate, leading development in the field of education and culture in an effort to educate the nation's life.
"Therefore, to the rectors inaugurated today, please continue to work together with us to succeed all policies that have been taken by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to ensure that services in higher education can run better from time to time," he concluded.
