Students of the Performing Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Performing Arts, ISI Yogyakarta held Mbangun Desa activities in Pakahan Village, Jogonalan, Klaten, Central Java. This activity was carried out for one semester in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This village building activity is the implementation of the Merdeka Campus Learning Program from the Performing Arts Education Study Program, FSP ISI Yogyakarta.
Mbangun Desa activities carried out by Performing Arts Education Study Program Students, ISI Yogyakarta consisted of fostering artistic activities for Pakahan villagers and Pakahan 1 Elementary School students. Pakahan residents and Pakahan 1 Elementary School students were trained on how to organize performances and performances. Pakahan residents who are dominated by mothers are trained to dance Gambyong Dance which will be performed massively during the commemoration of Mother's Day in 2022. Students of SD Negeri Pakahan 1 were trained to perform movements and songs that will also be performed during the Mother's Day celebration in 2022.
Mbangun Desa activities carried out by Performing Arts Education Study Program students, ISI Yogyakarta will also provide more real experience on how to design, train and perform a performance. Students will try to apply the knowledge gained in college in mbangun desa activities. Hopefully the performance that will be performed during the 2022 Mother's Day Celebration will run successfully.
