ISI Yogyakarta Dance Department Students Champion at Asia Arts Festival (AAF) 2022

Student of Dance Department, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta, Iwan Setiawan managed to make an achievement at the 2022 Asia Arts Festival (AAF) held at the University Culture Center of Singapore on July 28, 2022. At this annual event, Iwan Setiawan won first place (Gold Award) for the Solo (Folk) Competition category. Iwan Setiawan managed to set aside 19 participants from 16 countries and won the best score for the Solo (Folk) category.

Asia Arts Festival (AAF) is an annual festival that provides a worthy forum for musicians and dancers of all genres to showcase their talents, skills and appreciation of the arts before a distinguished panel of judges. AAF has attracted over 2,600 participants from more than 20 countries including Asia and other parts of the world such as Russia, Germany, Scotland, New Zealand and others. In addition to making lifelong friendships and enjoying the fun and exhilarating atmosphere at the festival, each participant will be awarded a trophy and certificate.

Festivals and competencies such as the Asia Arts Festival (AAF) need to be followed by ISI Yogyakarta students. This participation is to determine the quality of artistic competence possessed by students and to determine the extent of the results of the learning process that has been followed. The achievements obtained by Iwan Setiawan are certainly very proud for himself and ISI Yogyakarta. Hopefully this achievement can motivate other ISI Yogyakarta students to excel at the national and international levels.
