Art Management Students Involved in Daulat and Ikhtiar Exhibition as a Form of Implementation of Merdeka Belajar Program

The collaboration of three government institutions successfully organized an art exhibition entitled "Daulat and Ikhtiar: Interpreting the March 1, 1949 General Offensive Through Art". This art exhibition will be held from March 1 to 30, 2020, at the Museum Benteng Vredeburg Yogyakarta. The organization of this exhibition involves lecturers, alumni and students of the S1 Art Management Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta. The collaboration of lecturers, alumni and students will show the public that academicians and alumni of higher education in art are not only able to work on campus but can also collaborate with other public institutions such as the Vredeburg Museum Yogyakarta.

In this exhibition, the S1 Art Management Study Program sent 8 students to contribute in organizing the exhibition. The contribution of students in the exhibition titled "Daulat and Ikhtiar" includes the committee, assistant curator, gallery sitter and publication. Involving students in organizing exhibitions will provide real experience for students on how to manage an exhibition.

Involving students in the exhibition entitled "Daulat and Ikhtiar" is part of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka Program and the cooperation agreement between ISI Yogyakarta and Musuem Benteng Vrederburg Yogyakarta. The Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka Program allows students to develop their passions outside the classroom and involving students in this exhibition is a concrete example.
