Rector of ISI Yogykarta, Prof. Dr. M Agus Burhan, M.Hum. Inaugurated the use of the Animation Vocational Study Program Building on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 15.00 WIB until completion. The inauguration of the Animation Vocational Study Program Building began with the opening of singing Indonesian songs, followed by remarks from the Dean of the ISI Yogyakarta Faculty of Recording Media Arts, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. and continued by remarks as well as the inauguration of the building by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. This ceremonial event ended with a prayer by the officer.
The building inauguration ceremony was attended by the Head of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, Heads of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, Representatives of the Head of the Faculty of Performing Arts and the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta. On this occasion, stakeholders and industry partners of the Animation Vocational Study Program were also present. The leadership of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta also invited stakeholders and industry partners because without the contribution of stakeholders and partners, the Animation Vocational Study Program could not be transformed as it is today.
This ceremonial marks the Animation vocational study program (prodi) at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta has entered a period to be independent and develop the widest possible potential. Self-preparation period while staying in the Dean's Building Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta from 2012 to 2021 has shaped this study program into a mature and established vocational character. The process of strengthening itself through the P3TV program (Vocational Higher Education Strengthening Program) obtained from the Directorate General of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research in 2020 prepared the Animation study program to organize itself, both managerially and in terms of human resource quality. Industry partners and stakeholders began to synergize to build together a more established Animation vocational education system at ISI Yogyakarta. This culminates in 2021 where the Animation study program enters the preparation period for upgrading the level of the diploma three (3) program that has been held to an Applied Bachelor program (S.Tr.) which is strengthened by the Industry-Based Applied Bachelor Program Grant (PSTBI) launched by the Directorate General of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture-Research in the same year. Hopefully with the inauguration of this new building, the Animation Vocational Study Program will be more advanced.
