Students of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta again achieved achievements at the international level. Alfianto Andy Prasetyo Wibowo (1810925031) and Muhammad Ikhsanuddin (1810895031), two students of the Photography Study Program and Ghifton Rahmatan (2111160032), a student of the Film and Television Study Program, made achievements in the international competition Silk Road National Youth International Photography Competition 2021 with the theme "My Homeland" which was held in Beijing, China. This international competition was organized by China World Art Museum, Beijing Green Future Environment Foundation and Beijing Gehus Creative Center For Cultural Industry.
Alfianto Andy Prasetyo Wibowo with a photo entitled "New Life" and Muhammad Ikhsanuddin with a photo entitled "Hopefully Get Well Soon", were able to enter the TOP-6 best photography works for Group C with an age range of 19 to 25 years. Ghifton Rahmatan with a video titled "Happiness Belongs Together", was included in the TOP-5 best video works for Group C, with an age range of 19 to 25 years.
The Silk Road National Youth International Photography Competition 2021 was held from May to September 2021. The works of the students of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts set aside nearly 70,000 thousand works from 20 countries which were narrowed down to 270 finalists for photography works and 62 finalists for video works in various age classifications. The Silk Road National Youth International Photography Competition 2021 is an international cultural exchange event on the welfare of society through photo and video works that focus on the participation of young people aged 8 to 25 years.
The competition judging was held on October 12, 2021 at the Beijing Millennium Monument, China by 9 international photographers from China, Japan, Indonesia, and the UK online and offline. The works will be exhibited at the China Millennium Monument, Beijing from November 18 to 30, 2021.
