The Department of Theatre, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta in collaboration with Teater Koma and The Ateneo de Manila University is organizing Stadium Generale #1. Stadium Generale #1 will be held for two days on September 1 and 2, 2021 online. The Stadium Generale for students of the Department of Theater, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta will present two speakers, namely Nano Riantiarno and Dr. Ricardo Abad. The first speaker, Nano Riantiarno is the founder of Teater Koma, an actor, writer and theater director and the next speaker Dr. Ricardo Abad is Professor Emeritus of the Ateneo de Manila University and President of the Asia-Pacific Bond of Theater Schools.
On September 1, 2021, the first speaker, Nano Riantiarno, will present material on "Theater Education Welcoming the Millennial Generation". Currently, participants in theater education institutions are dominated by the millennial generation, which requires adjustments to learning methods according to the characteristics of the millennial generation. This adjustment is necessary for the learning process to be effective and efficient.
On September 2, the second resource person, Dr. Ricardo Abad, will present material on "Theater Education in Asia-Pacific After the Pandemic". The second speaker will try to describe the condition of theater education during the pandemic and post-pandemic. The description conveyed by this second speaker can be an input for the Department of Theater, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta how to determine the learning format in the pandemic and post-pandemic era. With the exposure of the two speakers, it is hoped that it will increase knowledge for students and lecturers in the Department of Theater FSP ISI Yogyakarta.
