Making a change is not as easy as going with the flow. Especially if the change is a compulsion, not a willingness from oneself. In this new normal era, we are forced to adapt to various new habits. Some are forced to stay at home, although others enjoy it. Some who previously rarely washed their hands suddenly washed their hands diligently because they were haunted by the corona virus. There may also be those who are reluctant to make changes. Maybe so far there are those who feel bored if they continue to be at home. Things that previously felt exciting over time actually feel boring. It is also possible that various challenges will only be considered a breeze. Even so, do you dare to challenge yourself to compete in commemorating the 37th Anniversary of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta?
Let us know, because in addition to challenging ourselves, the Fine Art Competition initiated for children and teenagers is intended to increase the younger generation's interest in fine arts. The Drawing Competition for elementary school students and the Fine Arts Article Writing Competition for the general public aged 16-23 years; are also efforts to involve public participation in celebrating ISI Yogyakarta's XXXVII Anniversary.
Referring to the big theme of ISI Yogyakarta's XXXVII Anniversary 'Art Awakening in the New Normal Era', participants are free to interpret it based on their attitudes and alignments in living positively, creatively, and contributing to the new normal order.
The following is a detailed explanation of the Drawing and Fine Art Article Writing Competition.
A. DRAWING COMPETITION
"School in the New Normal Era"
In commemoration of DIES Natalis XXXVII 2021, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta held a drawing competition for elementary school students. The theme is "School in the New Normal Era".
The competition was held online from May 24 to June 6, 2021.
CATEGORIES:
- Category A: Grades 1-3
- Category B: Grades 4-6
GIFTS:
- Category A:
First place: IDR 500,000 + certificate.
Second place: IDR 300,000 + certificate.
Third place: IDR 200,000 + certificate.
1st- 3rd runner up: @Rp 100,000 + certificate
- Category B:
First place: IDR 600,000 + certificate.
Second place: IDR 400,000 + certificate.
Third place: IDR 250,000 + certificate.
1st- 3rd runner up: @Rp 100,000 + certificate
CONDITIONS:
- A3 size paper (42 x 30 cm)
- Paper position portrait or landscape.
- Coloring tools: colored pencils, crayons, soft pastels, markers.
- The name and title are written on the page that contains the work.
- The drawing is the work of an individual.
- Works have not been previously competed for.
- The works are done manually, and are not the result of digital media.
- Works do not contain elements of racism, pornography, and plagiarism.
COLLECTION:

- Works are scanned/discanned in .jpeg format with an image resolution of 300 dpi, or photographed with adequate image quality.
- Work files are uploaded at the link above.
- Works must be uploaded no later than June 6, 2021, at 21:00 WIB.
- Each participant is allowed to submit a maximum of two works.
- Include a photo of KK / Birth certificate / Certificate from school / Child Identity Card.
ASSESSMENT:
Appropriateness of theme, originality of ideas, visual composition, and technique.
OTHER:
- The winning work fully belongs to the committee, and the committee has the right to apply it in various media and DIES XXXVII ISI Yogyakarta events.
- The results of the jury's judgment are absolute and cannot be contested.
- Participants are free of charge.

B. FINE ARTS ARTICLE WRITING COMPETITION
"Fine Art in the New Normal Era"
In order to commemorate DIES Natalis XXXVII 2021, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta held a youth-level Fine Art Article Writing competition. The theme is "Fine Arts in the New Normal Era".
The competition was held online from May 24 to June 6, 2021.
CATEGORIES:
- Participant age 16-23 years old.
GIFTS:
- First place: IDR 1,000,000 + certificate.
- Second place: IDR 750,000 + certificate.
- Third place: IDR 500,000 + certificate.
- 1st- 3rd runner up: @Rp 300,000 + certificate
CONDITIONS:
- Articles use Indonesian language.
- Article length 1000-1500 words, typed 1.5 spaces, typeface Times New Roman, 12 point, A4 paper plane.

- Articles are the work of an individual.
- Participants may submit a maximum of two articles.
- Article files are submitted in pdf format.

- Attach a photo of student card / student identification card / ID card.
ASSESSMENT:
Appropriateness of theme, originality of ideas, creativity of writing ideas, writing procedures and completeness.
OTHER:
- The copyright of the work remains with the author, the committee has the right to publish it.
- The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants and/or winners, who are deemed to have violated part or all of the terms and conditions of this competition.
- The jury's decision is absolute and inviolable.
- Participants are free of charge.
