The Covid-19 Pandemic era has not dampened the enthusiasm of the D4 Music Presentation Study Program (PSD4PM) as one of the first diploma IV vocational study programs in Indonesia in organizing activities oriented towards improving the quality and quality of students. In addition to concert activities, every year PSD4PM holds workshops, masterclasses, or student sharing by inviting speakers who come from professional musicians from various parts of the world.
This year, 2021, PSD4PM is collaborating with a professional Violinist from the USA, Riana Heath, in the Violin and Viola Classes by Riana Heath (USA) Event which will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 19.00 WIB via Video Conference media. This event was attended by violin and viola students as active participants and the general public as passive participants. Riana Heath is an American-Javanese musician who began her violin studies at the age of 6 at the Moscow Conservatory. She continued her music studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg under Wonji Kim-Ozim and is currently completing her bachelor of arts in performance for Violin and Viola under Prof. Lily Francis and Prof. Thomas Riebl. At a young age, Riana has performed concerts in Europe and North America and won many national and international competitions. One of them received the first place in the international competition "Grand Prize Virtuoso".
This activity is an effort to improve the competence of graduates who excel in the field of Music Presentation, in accordance with the mission of PSD4PM. "We hope that through Violin and Viola Classes by Riana Heath, students and the participating communities will get "positive energy" so that the pandemic period will no longer undermine the productivity of musicians".
