Oleh karena itu Pemerintah akan selalu berupaya untuk menjamin, bahwa anak Indonesia yang kurang mampu terutama yang memiliki prestasi akan dapat terus menempuh pendidikan hingga jenjang kuliah melalui Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP). PIP adalah bantuan berupa uang tunai, perluasan akses, dan kesempatan belajar dari pemerintah yang diberikan kepada peserta didik dan mahasiswa yang berasal dari keluarga miskin atau rentan miskin untuk membiayai pendidikan. Hal ini menjadi dasar komitmen pemerintah yang menempatkan akses
higher education for all as one of the development priorities.
SMART INDONESIA CARD COLLEGE
PIP is intended for students admitted to Higher Education including persons with disabilities with priority targeting KIP holders, students from poor/vulnerable families and/or with special considerations, affirmation students (Papua and West Papua as well as 3T and TKI) and students affected by disasters or special conditions.
Permendikbud No. 10 of 2020 on the Smart Indonesia Program
Through PIP in 2020, the government provides educational assistance for students admitted to higher education including people with disabilities in the form of the Indonesia Smart Lecture Card or KIP Lecture as proof of the state's presence to help its citizens obtain the right to higher education. KIP Kuliah will ensure the continuity of college by providing exemption from tuition fees at universities and assistance with monthly living expenses for students who meet economic and academic requirements. KIP Lecture for Affirmation students will be regulated by separate guidelines and provisions.
In 2020, the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture will expand the target of scholarships to continue higher education to 818 thousand students through KIP Kuliah, including Bidikmisi recipients. on going until the study period is completed.
