[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Selain menampilkan berbagai macam pertunjukan, Sepatu Menari Spektakuler 5 juga diisi dengan acara seminar sesuai dengan tema kegiatan, yaitu The Body of Tradition in the Millennial Era. This seminar was held at the Arena Theater of the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta, on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, from 08.00 to 10.00 WIB. The resource persons of this activity were Kanjeng Pangeran Haryo Notonegoro and Dr. Martinus Miroto, with moderator Dr. Rina Martiara. The event was attended by students from several art colleges in Indonesia, including IKJ, ISBI Bandung, PSDKU ISI Yogyakarta ISBI East Kalimantan Pilot, ISI Denpasar, ISI Surakarta, Wilwatikta College of Arts, ISI Yogyakarta and artists. Also present were the Dean of FSP, and lecturers of the Dance Department.
In his review, the resource person Kanjeng Pangeran Haryo Notonegoro conveyed several things, namely:
- Who is the Millennial Generation. Millennials are the generation born between 1982-2004. According to studies, this generation is not concerned with ownership, status. They are concerned about environmental issues. A generation that is more concerned with earth-shattering works and achievements, more present in the virtual realm than in the realm of reality, likes to travel, likes to collaborate, the spirit is no longer territorial, grouping, compartmentalized.
- Art in the Millennial Era. Traditional art is becoming more and more popular. The original is more sought after, and access to it is easier because of technology. People have the ability to find something authentic in every region (including art).
- How to respond to traditional arts in the Millennial era. See what is skin and what is content. Don't just question the form, because it will be trapped in the issue of the outer skin. The content will be related to "taste", values, philosophy, spirituality. People will be more selective
Conclusion:
- Innovation is a necessity, innovation is an obligation. Because what is eternal is change.
- There is always rejection in development. But look at it as a signpost that keeps us in a standardized corridor.
- When innovating, we must think more deeply and completely so that we will master the issue, and when we dialogue we can argue correctly about what we mean.
- Finally, prove that what we do produces something that is appreciated by society.
