Galeri RJ. Katamsi ISI Yogyakarta with the support of the Director General of Culture, Directorate of Arts, Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, in collaboration with the HONF Foundation will organize a Media Art Exhibition #onWHAT?! showcase of a series of workshops that focus on art, science, and technology and their applications for the environment and society. The workshop and incubation were attended by 10 selected ISI Yogyakarta students.
The series of workshops and incubations initiated by ISI Yogyakarta and HONF Foundation at the new media art exhibition #onWHAT?! this time is to build and develop a generic space for a laboratory with DIY (Do It Yourself) and DIWO (Do It With Others) methodologies in a peer to peer manner for individuals with various backgrounds and educational backgrounds. This space has various functions and purposes, as a cultural space, and also a space for sharing, research and development, and enrichment with them with the principle of openness; open culture, open design, open science and technology using DIY and DIWO methods, as well as local wisdom to achieve and share knowledge, innovation and abilities in the fields of art, science and technology for others.
The exhibition will be opened by Drs. Tubagus Sukmana, M. Ikom, Head of Sub-Directorate of Media Arts, Directorate General of Arts, Ministry of Education and Culture.
