Monday (6/24/2019) - The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) ISI Yogyakarta organized the LPPM Expo in the form of an Exhibition of Craft and Art Industry Works resulting from research and community service works of ISI Yogyakarta lecturers and the results of LPPM ISI Yogyakarta. The event opened with a karawitan performance from Geneng Hamlet, Panggungharjo, Sewon, Bantul, followed by remarks from the Chairperson of LPPM ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Nur Sahid, M.Hum and remarks and inauguration of the opening of the event by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. The event was also attended by academicians and structural officials within ISI Yogyakarta, as well as elements of local government in collaboration with LPPM ISI Yogyakarta.
In his remarks, the Chairman of LPPM ISI Yogyakarta said that this exhibition was the result of research and community service works of ISI Yogyakarta lecturers from 2017 to 2018 which amounted to 50 works, consisting of sculpture, photography, crafts, and others. "In 2019 ISI Yogyakarta lecturers who conducted research amounted to 85 people involving more than 100 students. We hope that in the future the number of lecturers involved in research will be more than 100 people in the coming years, "he said. Meanwhile, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta in his speech welcomed and was proud of the performance of LPPM ISI Yogyakarta which experienced an increasing trend in research and community service that had been carried out by ISI Yogyakarta lecturers. "The benchmark is not only based on the process but there is also a paradigm shift, namely the results of the activity must be based on output and outcome", he explained.
The opening of this year's LPPM Expo was also enlivened by a performance of Prodo Tani Dance by the 2 Roof Art Studio from Ngluar, Magelang Regency, as well as a performance of Gojeg Lesung kethoprak from Manding hamlet, Bantul, which is assisted by LPPM ISI Yogyakarta.
