Yogyakarta, June 9, 2026 \u2014 The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta conducted a comparative study visit to the Master's Program in Design, Faculty of Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology (FSRD ITB). This activity is part of ISI Yogyakarta's efforts to strengthen academic governance, curriculum development, and improve the quality of art and design education at the postgraduate level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit provided a space for academic dialogue between ISI Yogyakarta and the Master's Program in Design at FSRD ITB to share experiences regarding study program management, learning development strategies, and design education directions that are adaptive to the needs of the times. Through this forum, the two institutions discussed various important issues, ranging from curriculum strengthening, research development, academic governance, to collaboration opportunities in the fields of art, design, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For ISI Yogyakarta, this benchmarking activity holds strategic value because it expands academic networks with one of the higher education institutions that has a strong tradition in fine arts and design development in Indonesia. This meeting also serves as a momentum to strengthen ISI Yogyakarta's position as an art higher education institution that continues to move forward, is open to renewal, and actively builds inter-institutional collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the context of developing higher art education, dialogue between higher education institutions is crucial for responding to the changing creative ecosystem, technological developments, and societal needs for art and design graduates who possess academic capacity, creativity, social sensitivity, and professional competitiveness. ISI Yogyakarta continues to promote the strengthening of educational quality through knowledge exchange, benchmarking, and collaborations relevant to the development of the three pillars of higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit to the Master's Program in Design at FSRD ITB also reflects ISI Yogyakarta's commitment to building art education that is not only focused on creative output but also on strengthening research, innovation, academic governance, and tangible contributions to the advancement of science, culture, and the creative industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
