The event was attended by approximately 250 participants from universities, government, communities, and anti-corruption education stakeholders.

This seminar is a collaboration between Perpaksinas, ISI Yogyakarta, the PAK SIJI DIY Forum, the DIY Inspectorate, and the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPK RI). Through this forum, partners are encouraging the strengthening of anti-corruption education as part of building a culture of integrity within higher education institutions.

The presence of this seminar is important because it positions the campus not only as an academic space but also as a center for character building, ethics, and social responsibility. For ISI Yogyakarta, as an art higher education institution, anti-corruption education has a broad space for actualization through creative works, cultural practices, and artistic expressions that are close to the community.

The Chairman of the PAK SIJI DIY Forum, Dr. Totok Suharto, S.T., M.Si., emphasized that eradicating corruption is not enough to be discussed in discourse, but must be realized through concrete and sustainable actions. One of the strategic steps that needs to be strengthened is education.

“Anti-corruption education is a strategic step to instill values of honesty, responsibility, and integrity from an early age,” he said.

According to him, universities hold an important position in building an anti-corruption ecosystem because they are at the forefront of shaping the younger generation. Integrity values need to be instilled not only through coursework, but also through organizational culture, campus governance, student activities, and daily academic life practices.

The Chairperson of Perpaksinas, Master Yudi Ismono, stated that the anti-corruption education movement must be built collaboratively and continuously. Collaboration between campuses, the government, anti-corruption institutions, and the public is key so that anti-corruption education does not become a mere ceremonial agenda.

“This collaboration is expected to become a collective movement to strengthen the culture of integrity, not only in educational environments but also in community life,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn., emphasized that anti-corruption education must be alive in the daily academic culture. He conveyed that art campuses have a unique strength in delivering moral, social, and national messages through creative approaches.

According to the Rector, art is able to convey the message of integrity in a more communicative, reflective, and touching way to the community's experience. Through visual works, music, film, performances, design, and other creative media, anti-corruption values can be delivered more closely to the younger generation.

“Yogyakarta’s ISI has an academic and cultural responsibility to participate in the anti-corruption education movement. Art can be a powerful language for conveying the values of honesty, responsibility, and moral courage,” was the message that emerged from the forum.

The KPK RI representative in this activity emphasized that corruption eradication strategies must be implemented in an integrated manner through education, prevention, and law enforcement. In the context of higher education, anti-corruption education needs to be integrated through the curriculum, strengthening a campus culture of integrity, and cross-institutional collaboration.

The KPK also encourages universities to not only teach anti-corruption as knowledge but also to make it a real practice in governance, learning, student organizations, and community service. Thus, the value of integrity can become part of the character of university graduates.

In the seminar, art received special attention as a strategic medium for delivering anti-corruption messages. Art is not only understood as an aesthetic expression but also as a means of public education, social critique, and strengthening moral awareness. Through artworks, the issue of integrity can be presented more humanely and be easily understood by various segments of society.

This activity was also marked by the launch of the implementation of anti-corruption learning through curriculum strengthening, module development, and lecturer capacity building. These steps are expected to become a model for other higher education institutions in building a clean, dignified academic culture oriented towards public interest. The seminar featured speakers Prof. Sumaryati, Suyitno, M.Pd., and Megawati Attiyatunnajah, S.H. The speakers emphasized that the eradication of corruption must start from the classroom, student organizations, works of art, to daily habits within the campus environment.

Through these activities, ISI Yogyakarta reaffirms its position as an arts higher education institution that not only focuses on the creation and development of works but also on character building, ethics, and social awareness. This commitment is part of ISI Yogyakarta's contribution to building an integrity-filled creative generation.

With a spirit of collaboration, ISI Yogyakarta, along with its partners, is committed to fostering a generation that is honest, responsible, and possesses moral courage.
