Yogyakarta \u2014 The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta and TVRI Jogja signed a cooperation agreement in the field of implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education, including education, research, and community service. The signing of the cooperation took place at the TVRI Jogja Office, Jalan Magelang, Yogyakarta, on Thursday, May 7, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event was attended by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn.; the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. M. Kholid Arif Rozaq, S.Hut., M.M.; and the Dean of the Faculty of Visual Communication Design and Fine Arts at ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn. From TVRI Jogja's side, this collaboration is part of their commitment to expanding cooperation with art universities in content development, public education, and strengthening the broadcast ecosystem based on culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing of the cooperation includes a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ISI Yogyakarta and TVRI Jogja, as well as a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) which forms the basis for carrying out further cooperation programs. This collaboration is directed towards strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through education programs, academic practice, creative production, art appreciation, and human resource development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn., stated that the collaboration with TVRI Jogja is a strategic step to bring together the academic strengths of a higher education institution for the arts with the proven experience of the broadcasting industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cISI Yogyakarta has great potential in creating works of art, artistic research, and developing creative resources. Through cooperation with TVRI Jogja, this potential can be expanded in its reach, not only as an academic achievement but also as a real contribution to society through broadcast media. We hope this collaboration becomes a shared space to strengthen art education, broaden public appreciation, and bring the works of students and the academic community of ISI Yogyakarta to a wider audience,\u201d said the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meeting, the two institutions discussed a number of programs that have the potential for joint development. Some of these include a student film appreciation program, a dance appreciation program, and other programs aligned with the vision and mission of both institutions. This collaboration also opens up opportunities for the development of educational and cultural programs that can strengthen the role of art in community life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of the Faculty of Recorded Media Art at ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn., hopes this cooperation will continue, especially in supporting internship programs, academic practice, and strengthening student competency in film, television, and recorded media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, TVRI Jogja holds an important position as a strategic partner because it can serve as a benchmark for broadcasting, film, and television industry practices for students at ISI Yogyakarta. Through direct involvement with a professional work environment, students are expected to not only gain technical experience but also understand work ethics, production management, and the dynamics of the media industry in a real-world context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration between ISI Yogyakarta and TVRI Jogja is expected to be a gateway for the birth of various impactful collaborative programs, both for the development of higher education in the arts and for strengthening the cultural and broadcasting ecosystem in Yogyakarta. Through this synergy, ISI Yogyakarta continues to strengthen its position as an art higher education institution that actively builds networks, opens collaborative spaces, and makes real contributions to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
