YOGYAKARTA, April 23, 2026 \u2014 The R.J Katamsi Gallery of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta is once again an important space for the development of visual art discourse through the holding of Visual Arts Week #4: Bright Star, Shadows Gone<\/em> which will take place from April 20-26, 2026. This activity not only presents an art exhibition but also strengthens the position of ISI Yogyakarta as an art higher education institution that consistently provides academic, artistic, and social spaces relevant to the dynamics of the times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrying the theme Bright Star, Shadows Gone<\/em>, Pekan Rupa #4 offers a critical reading of the social realities behind the often outwardly dazzling image of progress. Through the exhibited works, the public is invited to explore the \u201cshadows\u201d hidden behind artificial optimism, while also witnessing how art can speak of social wounds, anxieties, and hopes with a reflective and powerful language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held in one of the campus's premier art spaces, the R.J. Katamsi Gallery of ISI Yogyakarta, this event serves as a testament to ISI Yogyakarta's continued efforts to foster an open, critical, and productive art ecosystem.
