Yogyakarta, April 1, 2026 \u2014 The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta once again demonstrates its strategic role in the national higher art education ecosystem. ISI Yogyakarta is among the participants in the forum <\/a>The Indonesian Arts Higher Education Cooperation Agency (BKSPTSI) was held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the Leadership Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the Rectorate Building of the Indonesian Arts and Culture Institute (ISBI) Bandung. The forum agenda included two important discussions: a coordination meeting for the organization of FKI, including a discussion on an award from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, and a gathering of leaders from Indonesian arts higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this activity, ISI Yogyakarta was listed along with eight other arts institutions, namely ISBI Bandung, ISBI Aceh, ISI Padang Panjang, ISI Denpasar, ISBI Tanah Papua, ISI Surakarta, Jakarta Arts Institute, and STKW Surabaya. Involvement in this forum demonstrates that ISI Yogyakarta continues to be within the strategic circle of decision-making for arts higher education collaboration in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Institutionally, the BKSPTSI forum is significant because it serves as a space for collaboration among the leaders of Indonesian art higher education institutions. The traces of this collaboration are evident in the organization of the Indonesian Art Festival (FKI) and joint exhibitions by BKS-PTSI and the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, which involve nine art higher education institutions, including ISI Yogyakarta. It is noted that ISI Yogyakarta was previously involved in the agenda of the 11th Indonesian Art Festival in 2021 as part of the BKS-PTSI network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For ISI Yogyakarta, attending a forum like this is not just about fulfilling an institutional invitation, but also about strengthening the campus's position as a crucial hub for higher arts education in Indonesia. This aligns with ISI Yogyakarta's profile as a state university for the arts that offers education from D4, S1, S2, to S3 levels in various art fields.
