ISI Yogyakarta, October 3, 2025<\/strong> - The Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR) of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta organized a film screening to celebrate Yogyakarta Cultural Festival - 70th Asia Africa Conference<\/em>. This event took place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 15.00 to 17.30 WIB, at the AUvi Room (Visual Auditorium), FSMR Building ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is one of the important series of cultural celebrations that highlight the spirit of solidarity and collaboration between Asian and African countries, as the spirit born from the Asian-African Conference (KAA) in Bandung in 1955. Through the medium of cinema, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta seeks to present reflections on historical, social and humanitarian values that are relevant today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screening will feature a selection of six short films and documentaries from Indonesian and Indian filmmakers. The films not only show the richness of visual narratives and cinematic aesthetics, but also illustrate the cross-cultural dialogue between two nations that have a strong history of diplomatic and cultural relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list of movies to be screened includes: The Tattered Robe Warrior and the Enchanted Storyteller<\/em> by Fanny Chotimah (Indonesia), Fangs<\/em> by Ann Marie Ramadhania Nalapraya (ISI Yogyakarta), Enlightenment in Motion: India's Rhythmic Tribute to the Bandung Vision<\/em> by Seema Mehra Parihar (India), Sintren Saves The Village<\/em> by Wahyu Nurul Iman (ISI Yogyakarta), Are We Still Friends?<\/em> by Al Ridwan <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is expected to be a space for appreciation and learning for ISI Yogyakarta academics and the general public for the power of film as a medium for historical reflection and cultural diplomacy. In addition. FSMR further strengthens the position of cinema as a bridge of communication between nations, while emphasizing the role of ISI Yogyakarta in global cultural diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
