<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The essence of cultural diplomacy is often close to the cultural elements of art and traditional values to build mutually beneficial international relations. In certain contexts - for example, in order to strengthen art networks and realize world-class universities - cultural diplomacy has a very important role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some important things related to cultural diplomacy in an effort to achieve these goals can be summarized as efforts to increase international recognition of local arts and culture, build global networks in the world of arts (education), enrich curriculum and academic experiences, encourage collaboration in research and innovation, increase the attractiveness of universities in the world, increase diplomacy between nations, and maintain cultural identity in the midst of global change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, ISI Yogyakarta held a seminar entitled \"ART & DIPLOMACY: Strengthening the Art Network, Realizing a World Class University\". This seminar was held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 08.00-13.00 WIB. Physically held at: Concert Hall - ISI Yogyakarta and can be watched live via Youtube channel: ISI Yogyakarta<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The keynote speakers of the seminar were Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D. (Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of Indonesia) and H.E. Arif Havas Oegroseno, S.H., LL.M (Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia) with several speakers namely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Phillip Augier (Asia-Pacific Art Collector, co-founder of Museum Pasifika Bali). Topic: \"Capturing Experiences & Fostering Cultural-Artistic Work Between Countries\"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Helly Minarti, Ph.D. (Arts Researcher, FOUNDER of a collaborative research platform on choreography). Topic: \"History and Effects of the Dissemination of Indonesian Culture-Art\"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Kurniawan \"Inong\" Saputro, Ph.D. (Researcher & Lecturer at ISI Yogyakarta). Topic: \"Problems of Art Universities in the Context of Cultural Diplomacy\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
