Department of Pedalangan, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta and Department of Southeast Asian Studies National University of Singapore held an international collaboration on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 14.00 WIB until completion, at Pendapa Kyai Panjangmas, Department of Pedalangan-Karawitan. This collaboration will feature puppeteer Jan Mr\u00e1zek from the Department of Southeast Asian Studies National University of Singapore and accompanied by NUS Singa Nglaras Gamelan Ensemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audience will be presented with an unusual wayang performance because it will feature puppeteers from abroad, Singapore to be precise. This puppet show feels very special because it is accompanied by pengrawit who are members of the NUS Singa Nglaras Gamelan Ensamble. This puppet show should be a spark of enthusiasm for students of the Pedalangan Department to continue learning and working so that their competence in performing puppets or karawitan is not inferior to students from the Department of Southeast Asian Studies National University of Singapore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This wayang performance is open to the general public and is free of charge. Please come to Pendapa Kyai Panjangmas, Department of Pedalangan-Karawitan to watch the wayang performance played by the academic community of the Department of Southeast Asian Studies of the National University of Singapore.
