In Kelola Art Talk (KAT) #29 the speakers presented included Dr. (HC). Garin Nugroho and Dr. Budi Irawanto. Dr. (HC). Garin Nugroho is an internationally renowned filmmaker and cultural observer, while Dr. Budi Irawanda is a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University and Cultural Observer. The event will be hosted by moderator A. Sudjud Dartanto, M.Hum., lecturer of Art Management Study Program, FSR ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The topic \"Art and Cultural Diplomacy\" was chosen because Indonesia has extraordinary cultural wealth. As an asset of cultural diversity and plurality, it certainly requires awareness of governance in the value exchange system. Diplomacy as a science and practice becomes a necessity to do. How to carry out cultural diplomacy as a form of soft power, including the fields of art, language and creative industries? What kind of joint efforts are needed? Together with two speakers who have long practiced soft-power diplomacy to many countries, we need to hear. Including what is the fate of culture in the new government in the next 5 years? Politics, culture and art are always interesting to discuss.<\/p>\n<p>Kelola Art Talk (KAT) #29 is open to the academic community of the Art Management Study Program and the public.
